How to Install STAMPCATalog Plus from Four Disk Downloads


If you are installing Version 4.4b, follow the instructions below but substitute DISK #1B... DISK #4B for DISK #1... DISK #4.


First, download DISK #1, DISK #2, DISK #3 and DISK #4 to any temporary location on your hard disk. These files contain the complete STAMPCATalog Plus program and a demonstration USA collection. Run each self-extracting file (disk1.exe, disk2.exe, disk3.exe and disk4.exe) to decompress them. During the extraction process you may designate the drive for the decompressed files (default locations of c:\disk1, c:\disk2, c:\disk3 and c:\disk4). Extract them to temporary hard disk locations, default or other, as long as they are placed in FOUR SEPARATE DIRECTORIES labeled "disk1", "disk2" "disk3" and "disk4." If you extract them onto four floppies (labeled Disk#1, Disk#2, Disk#3 and Disk#4) you will have a set of program disks as backup. When using floppies, install the program by inserting Disk #1 in your A: (or B:) floppy drive. From Program Manager or Start, "Run" dialog, type "a:setup" (or "b:setup") and press <Enter>. Follow the on-screen instructions and change diskettes as needed until STAMPCATalog Plus is completely installed. If installing from a hard disk, type "<path>\setup" and press <Enter> where <path> is the path to the temporary hard disk location for DISK #1 (e.g., c:\disk1). The complete program (including runtime library and sample collection) requires about five megabytes of hard disk space.
